The Queen-

We get to meet Maxons mother, Queen Amberly. She comes from a sick and poor province and doesn't believe she has a chance with Clarkson. She has loved the prince all her life and was ecstatic when her name was drawn for his Selection. She always wears gloves to cover her callused hands. Even when she thinks she has lost due to some uncertain news she still wins the heart of the boy she grew up loving.

The Prince-

Maxon really doesn't want to do the Selection but does it because it is his duty. Maxon always tries to do his duty. He doesn't want to let his father down. We get to see his side of Americas and his relationship unfold through his eyes. He is sooo intrigued by America and wants to know more about her.

The Guard-

Aspen always bothered me in Americas story. He's loyal, i'll give him that. He really wants to have his first love be his only love. His heart decides on a different path but that doesn't him from trying to avoid it. He gets his happy ever after in the end, which is good.

The Favourite-

Marlee was happy to be in the Selection. She was going into it thinking she was going to find her one. She found it. Love comes in unexpected ways. Maxon dies what he can to help. Marlee and Carter have a tough first few months being together. Their love is so strong nothing can stand between them. All the hardships are worth it to them. As a gift of love Mer and Maxon give Marlee and Carter a real set of wedding bands.

There are three happy couples in this series and I love all of them.
